Lewandowski winning the best player of February is a no-brainer if you consider the superb effort the Pole put into the four games he played during the month.
The striker's numbers were astonishing. Scoring four goals in four league matches despite not having much supplies due to unavailability of some of the team's finest midfielders.
But that was never an excuse for the 'goal machine', who already made up his mind to round up the month of February as the best in the league. And he eventually did!
We can all agree that February was good for the team. Playing four league matches and winning three is progress considering how the previous month ended. So, the recognition was deserving of Lewandowski, who played every minute of every match in February.
More of Lewandowski's Admirable Feats
While the above stat may look outstanding to Culers, there are still more finer stats that make this man a beast and one of the best strikers ever.
For the record, Lewandowski, while at Bayern Munich, scored five goals in just nine minutes in 2015 during a match between Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg in a game that ended 5-1 in favor of the Bavarians.
What got football lovers tripping after the match was the timing of the goals. The first three goals came in three minutes and 22 seconds, the fourth in five minutes and 42 seconds, and his fifth after eight minutes and 59 seconds.
That's absolute! No player—and certainly not a substitute—had ever achieved this in the long history of the Bundesliga.
The only record that escaped him that night was Dieter Müller's six goals in a single Bundesliga game in Cologne's 7-2 win against Werder Bremen in August 1977.
That's not all. On December 8, 2020, Lewandowski scored three goals in just four minutes and 42 seconds in the UEFA Champions League match against Red Star Belgrade.
This remarkable feat made him the player with the fastest hat-trick in Uefa Champions League history, breaking the previous record held by former Chelsea forward Didier Drogba.
Also, the striker's eight years at Bayern Munich saw him become the club's all-time second-highest goalscorer (344 goals) behind legendary Gerd Muller, who netted 523 goals in 580 matches.
Now you know why they call him 'The Body' (a nickname bestowed upon him by his former Dortmund teammate Nuri Sahin).
It was because of his strong and athletic build, powerful legs, and quick movement on the field. He's a goalpoacher and one of the finest to ever grace the field.
With Lewangoalski still in the mix, more wins are still awaiting for Culers!
