The RFEF bows to the pressure being mounted on them to release audio of the VAR discussion that took place after Lamine Yamal’s ‘ghost goal’ for Barcelona against Real Madrid on Sunday night, El Clásico clash.

Lamine Yamal was about to jubilate, thinking he'd made it 2-1 in favor of Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu, but the goal was not given because the officials could not determine if the ball had crossed the line, ultimately denying the 16-year-old what could've been his first El Clasico goal.

In a new “transparency exercise,” the RFEF has now revealed the discussion between match referee Soto Grado and the VAR team regarding the incident.

Here's the conversation:

VAR: “We are in a 360 (plane), Lunin’s body covers it, this one doesn’t work for me, this one doesn’t work either, this one doesn’t work either, this one doesn’t work either.”

Soto Grado: ”We are in no hurry, it is a very important decision, we are in no hurry, all cameras.”

VAR: “They don’t have any more. We confirm that there are no more cameras, right?”

Soto Grado: ”We are not in a hurry. The best thing to do is to wait. We have to wait.”

VAR: ”We are going to restart with a corner kick. We have no evidence that the ball has gone in. Corner kick.”

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has expressed his dissatisfaction the day after the improper use of the VAR machine. The club chief wants to see all the images and audio available for the play and has not ruled out asking for a replay if it's eventually proved that the ball crossed the goal line.
