If we're to go by history, then Culers shouldn't stress themselves by imagining any kind of ramontada from the Parisians. PSG has reached its final bus stop! They can try again next year.
Barça have done the hardest part of the task, which is flying the boys to Parc des Princess for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal and leaving with a one-goal advantage to Catalunya, Spain.
A brace from Raphina and the winner from Christensen helped Barcelona triumph in France by 3-2, and by next week, the Parisians will be visiting Spain for the return leg. (Ajeku iya ni o je) (a ga-eti gị ihe n'emeghị ebere).
PSG, however, are such a great side that it would be wise not to celebrate too early, especially as they've on a couple of occasions stopped Barcelona from advancing to the next stage, but Culers can be quietly confident about their team's chances of progressing to the last four. Here's why:
Win Away, Win the Tie
On 39 of the 41 occasions when FC Barcelona beat their opponents away from home in a European competition first leg, the Blaugrana ultimately progressed to the next round.
Here's the most impressive: when it comes to the European Cup, or Champions League, as it is known now, Barça has a perfect record of 13 out of 13. And that's a fact! Not juju!
Memorable examples include Lionel Messi's wonder at the Bernabeu, in which Leo made Real Madrid defenders walk with their knees before clipping past Iker Casillas in a 2-0 away win. The return leg ended in a 1-1 draw at Camp Nou to confirm passage into the final at the expense of the 'old enemy'.
Culers will also remember the spectacular 7-1 battering of the sufferhead Bayer Leverkusen in 2012, in which Leo Messi hit a quintuple of goals at the Camp Nou after winning 3-1 away from home in the first leg.
Four of the last five examples have involved returning victorious from England, while the other was against none other than PSG, the same side against which we are hoping history will repeat this year.

History against PSG
PSG don too suffer for Barcelona hand. Yeah, you would want to argue that they dumped Barça out of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 in 2020/21, but don't also forget the 6-1 pummeling at the Camp Nou.
That aside, there have been six previous instances when the Parisians lost the first leg of a European tie at home, and on a grand total of zero occasions have they ultimately gone on to progress.
Will they be hoping to do something they have never managed before? Not against this current Xavi-ball squad. The whole squad is almost available, and so far, the defense line, which seems to be the most problematic, has been resolved to a great extent.
So Barça have both history, form, and everything in their favor going into Tuesday's match!
