Toni Fernández sets a new record with Barcelona Atlètic (Barça B) on Saturday 7th September 2024, when he scored a Puskas-worthy bicycle-kick in the team's win over Ourense in the Primera Federación.
The youngster caught the attention of the football world, especially Culers, with an acrobatic strike on 41 minutes to double the lead from Oscar Urena's assist.
And at the age of just 16 years, 1 month, and 3 days, Toni Fernández became the youngest ever goalscorer for Barça Atlètic.
Rather remarkably, four minutes later, Toni laid on the assist for his cousin Guillermo Fernández to ensure he also enters the history book as the second youngest goalscorer for Barça Atlètic (Barça B), at age 16 years, two months, and 21 days. Quite some memorable moments for the cousin brothers!
Toni Fernández and Guillermo Fernández have shown flashes of hope for a great future at FC Barcelona. It's left to see how they develop with the reserve team this season and whether they can do enough to convince Hansi Flick for a place in the first team.
