Dani Olmo Says, "Messi Is the Best Player in History"

Dani Olmo, after being registered in La Liga, gave an exclusive interview to Adri Contreras of Mundo Deportivo. The Barcelona star didn’t hold back when talking about Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and even his teammates.

When asked to pick between Messi and Ronaldo, Olmo was quick to choose Messi. He called him “the best player in history," a statement that once again highlights how much respect Messi commands, even among today’s players.

Olmo also gave fans a glimpse into life in the Barcelona locker room. He said Eric García is his best friend on the team. According to Olmo, García is obsessed with football and watches more matches than anyone else in Hansi Flick's squad.

When asked who he’d step into a boxing ring with, Olmo jokingly chose Ferran Torres, the conversation wasn’t all serious, though. He also made a bold prediction about rising star Lamine Yamal, saying he’s sure Yamal will win the Ballon d’Or in the future.

Finally, Olmo shared his dream for the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League final. He predicted that FC Barcelona and Liverpool would face off in what would be an epic showdown.
