Neymar’s Injury Woes: Fans Blame Black Magic

At Barcelona, Neymar Jr wasn’t just a star — he was box office. Week in, week out, he lit up the Camp Nou alongside Messi and Suárez, terrorizing defences and thrilling culés around the world. That front three? Pure chaos. Pure magic.

But when he swapped Barça for Paris in that jaw-dropping, world-record move to PSG, the fairy tale cracked. The Brazilian’s career in France was a rollercoaster — and not the fun kind. Injuries piled up, seasons slipped away, and before long, Neymar was off to Al Hilal, then back home to Santos.

For years, most of us chalked it up to bad luck or fragile ankles. But now? Some fans think there’s more to the story.

Before Brazil faced Peru in a 2023 World Cup qualifier, word spread that a group of Peruvian shamans had performed a ritual aimed squarely at Neymar. Their goal? To “neutralize” him and keep him quiet on the pitch.

And here’s where it gets weird.

Since that supposed ritual, Neymar has missed 527 out of 580 days through injury. That’s not just bad luck — that’s practically vanishing from the game. Coincidence? Maybe. Or maybe… you don’t want to mess with those shamans.

Whatever you believe, one thing’s clear: Neymar’s journey is as dramatic off the pitch as it is on it. And as Barça fans, we’ll always remember the magic he gave us — black magic or not.
